REGULATIONS
of the International Young composers competition "PentaTON".

  The competition"PentaTON" was founded in 2007 in Nikolaev (Ukraine). It's goal is to stimulate the creative activity of young people in academical music.
  The competition founders:
  Nikolaev Branch of the Ukrainian composers' Union
  Department of culture of the Nikolaev Regional State council.
  Regional methodical cabinet of learning establishments of culture and arts.
 The goals of competition: supporting and developing of the creative gifted pupils and students, revealing of the talanted young people, stimulating of the creative thinking of the growing generation.
  Style frames: academical music in all genres.
  Participation: Audition avilable for Musical school pupils, students of the musical colleges and universities, who create music for acoustical instruments and/or voice.

  Age limits:
  There are three age categories auditions:

• junior group: 8-11 years (inclusive)
• teen group: 12-17 years (inclusive)
• senior group: 18-25 years (inclusive)

  Time limits of programms: 10 min. – for junior group, 15 min. – for teen group, 20 min. for senior group.  

  The both age and category definition are made at the last registration day.

  Registration deadline is March, 1 of the competition year.

  Time-table: competition have to be in April-May (detailed see conditions for this year).

  On the competition results jury makes judgment as for total rating. There valuable prizes are foreseen. The decision of jury is final and without appeal.
